One of the biggest differences of living in the Netherlands is you're just OUT all the time! Walking to school, hopping between errands, and just getting to and fro, there is no escaping the weather. Thankfully in the winter there are carts that sell warm ollibollen (like a fried donut) and appelflaps (a tiny apple pie) and we definitely indulge in these treats on bad weather days coming home from school.
