On December 26th we hopped on a Ryan Air flight bound for Dublin and spent the remainder of our vacation touring the Irish city and surrounding countryside. A freak accident with my phone battery wiped all evidence of this trip but thankfully I was using Instagram as we went along and managed to save a few photos that had already gone live. Just means we have to go back and visit again!!

Merry First Christmas!
We woke up to a lovely, quiet Christmas morning and the boys opened presents in record time. We were feeling a bit restless and made the last minute decision to head to Ireland for the remainder of the holiday break! What an amazing and wonderful benefit to living abroad. Unfortunately my phone went hay wire and I lost most of the photos, but I'll try to record what I have left.

Christmas Eve Fair
The Winter Carnival arrived in Amsterdam and what better time to check it out than Christmas Eve! We joined our Amsterfam The Burkes for an evening of ferris wheels, churros, carnival games, and Christmas fun! It was the perfect evening and the boys couldn't wait to see what Santa would bring them the next morning!

Madurodam
One of the excursions we took the Ham Fam on was to the tiny village of Madurodam. Everything is in miniature! Real scale replicas of the most important buildings in the Netherlands are spread across this adorable park and it was so fun to walk through. Many of them we hadn't seen in real life yet so helped us add to our bucket list!
Hams Come to the Dam
One great way to survive the long, dark winter...visitors!!! The entire Ham Clan was able to hop over to Amsterdam and spend some time with us. We are still having a blast playing tourist in our own town, and it is so special to be able to share it with others. We toured the Rijksmuseum, ate dinner at the Sea Palace, had beers and met the horses at the Heineken Museum, and played in the last of the snow on museumplein.
