* That Time I Got My Ears Pierced

When you are 30 minutes early for a dinner reservation the most logical thing to do is go next door and get your ears pierced……right? Well, that’s what I did at the end of March while waiting for my girlfriends to show up for dinner! I had been thinking of getting a second hole for a while and with time to kill and nowhere to be, I decided to take the plunge and just do it! There was no wine involved in making the decision but I figured there would be plenty after to help dull the pain hahaha it took weeks before I didn’t regret my decision and man did it hurt like hell!

Carter’s buddy Cullen turned four on a Saturday and had a fire truck themed birthday party at Station House #2. The boys toured the station, helped put out a fire, and then ran around like crazy after some cake and snacks!

Right after the party I joined my bible study at the Cumming Playhouse to watch member Ginger in the play Oliver. She was the rose seller and had an incredible solo that gave me chills!

* North Georgia Winery Tour

Happy 60th Birthday Dad!!

For my dad’s 60th birthday we surprised him with a winery tour around North Georgia. We rented a big van and the entire extended family rode together to three different wineries! Georgia is not known for their wine, and I think the trip itself was much more enjoyable than the actual tasting, but it was so fun to surprise him and celebrate in a way that he never would have done himself!

* Visit to Farmer Sue

You can’t go wrong combining farm animals and painting class! It is some of my most favorite activities all in one so when we found our friends had not been the Art Barn to meet Farmer Sue, a field trip was in order! It was the perfect chilly spring day to feed the animals, take a hay ride, and have a picnic under the shade trees! Carter was so brave and helped feed all the animals. He is usually not into them but he brought hay to the donkeys and Shadow the goat and even helped scoop poop!!

* My Turn to Celebrate

Carter and I share a birthday so usually the day of is all about him! This year was kind of a big deal though as I welcomed a new decade so I was looking forward to my turn to celebrate! My family went to the club ad we enjoyed a super delicious meal. My best friend Candace also came up and it was such  special day. My dad presented me with a gorgeous diamond necklace that had been my mom’s and we almost made it through the whole dinner without crying I don’t know why we took so few pictures because two of my aunts and uncles were at dinner as well as Linc and Nolan of course! I guess we were distracted by the yummy food!

The following night my Baby Brigade mommies took me out to celebrate! We went to an incredible farm to table restaurant (in a converted old farmhouse!) and spent the night catching up and having cocktails. I always love when this group gets together and it was nice to feel celebrated!
