Ok...Christmas 2021...I'm sensing a theme here. As the year wraps up I find myself desperately wanting to document the months gone by, but restarting the blog is so overwhelming I don't even know where to begin. Originally this blog left off in spring 2017 but over the years I have back blogged and updated pieces at a time.
We have gone through an international move, three different houses, three separate schools, countless holidays and vacations, and find ourselves well into the fourth year of living in Amsterdam. We've survived (so far) an ongoing global pandemic, school closures, curfews, lockdowns and a constant "just two weeks to stop the spread" campaign that is now seeing its second year. The boys have grown, thrived, and blossomed here. Lincoln has gone from successful game designer to retired stay at home dad to startup sensation! And here I am, behind the scenes, slowly documenting it all on social media. The diary entries of this blog format have gone out the window and I find myself writing short snippets of our life to share online. I miss the cathartic writing process and delving deeper into our daily life. I feel busy, but where does the time go? Your guess is as good as mine lol... I'm not making any promises. I seemed to do that a few years ago and never came back to the computer, but maybe I can remember to make this little space of the internet as thorough as possible so we have it to look back on for years to come.
