Sending Thanksgiving wishes and prayers up to Heaven.
We love you Hattie.
I’m not going to lie…Thanksgiving this year was pretty depressing. My dad had the flu and couldn’t even come to dinner, my mom was gone (obviously), and everyone was in a somber mood. I think we would have all agreed to skip the holidays all together if it hadn’t been for mom’s insistence when she was alive that we always celebrate together! Aunt Cindy and Uncle Greg hosted us and fried an incredible turkey and we hung out for a few hours before dropping a plate at Dad’s house. It didn’t feel real and it surely didn’t feel like Thanksgiving without mom, but onward we go.
