amazing brunch (with bottomless mimosas) and then got our nails done at the salon!

Right at the intersection of two main roads a bit further north in our county is a little farm where Mr. Anderson and his family live. Every year they painstakingly plant rows upon rows of gorgeous sunflowers and the entire community waits in anticipation for the fields to bloom! There is a very short window of time where the flowers actually look nice and droves of photographers drive from miles around to offer sunflower sessions to their clients. I couldn’t justify paying those prices when I know I can take a pretty decent picture so I packed my family up one afternoon and bribed them to cooperate. It was unseasonably chilly for July and I was able to wear my wellies and leggings without breaking a sweat! Linc was my second shooter and I don’t think we could have gotten better pics that day! I was so happy with how they turned out and already blew them up in canvas form for the house!

This is my most favorite picture of the boys! I love how Carter is looking at Nolan!

Mr. Anderson came out and helped snap a pic of the whole family.

Nolan was totally over it at that point but I’m glad we tried anyway!

* Welcoming Davis Luke

It has been such an incredible honor to be able to join my girlfriends in the hospital after having their babies! Katie and Dan welcomed third son Davis Luke on a surprisingly cool day in July and I was able to sneak away from my family to go visit them. I brought Davis a custom birth announcement to hang in his nursery and loved being able to be the first friend to hold him! Katie looked incredible and Davis was just as snuggly as could be. I love getting my newborn fix and seeing my friends so happy!!
