* A Connecticut Wedding

In early October Linc and I flew with Nolan up to Connecticut for my cousin Michael’s wedding! Carter stayed behind with grandma Bella and we joined our entire extended family for a wonderful weekend in the Northeast. The weather was perfect and it was nice to get away and decompress. We were still shell shocked from the events of the month before, but it was still a treat to get to see all our family and have a reason to celebrate. Michael and Christina threw an awesome party!

while wearing Nolan! We even caught a genuine smile out of dad.

* Pursuit 31 Conference

We were invited by high school friends Ashley and Graham Scobey to participate in the Pursuit 31 Conference this fall as the family models for their teaching shoot. Founded in 2010 for a small group of female photographers, Pursuit has now grown into a nationwide community of creatives who live to bring God glory through their work, their homes and their lives. It was held at the gorgeous Berry College in Rome and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to model for some of the top photogs in the south east! Elle Danielle from Birmingham led a group of about twenty photographers during our session and walked them through different poses and lighting techniques. It was a really fun day!

* Farmer Sue & The Art Barn

There is a little farm in Milton, Georgia called the Art Barn where a wonderful lady named Farmer Sue teaches children all about life on the farm. She is such an incredible person and completely filled with joy that she shares with students every single day. She prayed her whole life to have a huge family with many children. Unfortunately, that dream did not come true in biological children but now she is surrounded by hundreds of kids each and every day and she treats them all like her own. Every time we go visit it is such a fun field trip and we look forward to spending time with Farmer Sue and all her animals every time! After meeting all the animals and helping to brush and feed them, the kids go on a hay ride around the property and then take an art class on how to draw farm animals!
