One morning I sat down at my computer to order contacts and decided I really didn't want to do that anymore. After talking to a few friends, I decided to go ahead and do LASIK. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made! I had already been wearing glasses for a few weeks and was the perfect candidate for the procedure. I met with the Dr. and he happened to have an opening the following morning since my eyes had already been resting from not wearing contacts. In order to ensure I didn't chicken out, I went ahead and booked for the next day and got ready for my life without glasses!
After my consultation- they had to dilate my eyes
Operating room- ready to begin!
I was so nervous but the whole procedure only took a few minutes
Super blurry but all done!
I went straight to bed after the LASIK and was really, really uncomfortable.
I had horrible pressure on my eyes and I could not make it dark enough even
with shades and blankets over my eyes. I had to tape plastic covers on my eyes
to make sure I didn't scratch or touch my sensitive eyes. Thankfully I was able to sleep through the night and when I woke up, I could see all the way across the room for the first time ever!
The truth behind LASIK- a few days of taped eyes to sleep
