Meeting Caroline Grace

The weekend I left for Nashville I jokingly told my girlfriend Halie not to have her baby while I was gone. She still had two weeks left so I really didn’t think it was going to happen. You can imagine my surprise when I get a message at the crack of dawn on Saturday that she was coming! I had just hugged her on Thursday and made a joke about it! Halie was able to have a successful VBAC and delivered teeny tiny peanut Caroline in only a few hours. I am so proud of her that she was able to have the kind of delivery she wanted. It took us a few days to get over to see her and I could have snuggled that sweet baby all day! I made a custom print for her nursery and was able to use her actual crib bedding as part of the design. I love when my friends have babies but Caroline is even more special as she officially became the Baby Brigade’s 50th member!!! Wow! We sure have grown. From five mommies to 16 and from 5 babies to now 34! It is crazy how blessed our group is and I pray we continue to welcome sweet little ones for years to come!

Cousin Golf Camp

Poppt gave Carter golf camp lessons for his birthday. Camp was held for a few days at the end of July and it just so happened that Kristin and Nathan were going to be up visiting! Dad made a call and got Nathan into the camp too. It was so much fun and we had the pleasure of watching from the club with yummy breakfast each morning! Nolan hang out with us in the shade and tried his hand at a few putts before calling it a day. After camp we hit the pool and had lunch and swam until the boys crashed. It was a perfect three days!

On Wednesday we returned to the club in the evening for “Winesday” Dinner

Nashville Baby!

Candace turned 30 in July and we planned a wonderful trip to getaway and celebrate this new decade. She drove up with Alexis on Friday morning and snagged me on the way. It was so awesome to get to ride together! I had gotten a hair cut that morning so felt ready to rock and after grabbing lunch at Village Burger in Dunwoody we hit the road. The drive to Nashville was uneventful and we arrived at our hotel in time to freshen up and grab some drinks before dinner. We had tickets to the Listening Room Café for dinner and a live show. The musicians were absolutely incredible and the food was fabulous. The service on the other hand was beyond atrocious…but we didn’t let it ruin our night!

Saturday morning we hit Whole Foods for a light breakfast and then wandered the shops of Green Hills. My childhood friend Courtney happened to be out running errands in the area and thankfully was able to stop by so I could give her a huge hug!! We caught up for a little bit and then I joined back up with the girls to finish shopping. We had a very late lunch at Pucketts where I had an incredible Tennesse Palmer (bourbon, lemonade, and sweet tea) and then grabbed ice cream at Jenni’s in honor of National Hot Fudge Sundae Day! We were all about the food this trip haha we went to dinner at Butchertown Hall and then somehow ended up at Coyote Ugly for shots. After that we went right to bed and slept!

Sunday we had breakfast at J. Christopher’s and then had to come back home. It was a whirlwind weekend but I am so glad we could get away for a bit and celebrate Candace’s big birthday!

After a dermatologist appointment for Nolan, we joined our neighbors to see the Minion movie!

It was adorable and both boys lasted the entire time with popcorn and treats.

Happy Party Day Davis!

We attended baby Davis’s birthday party at the local splash pad on hot summer day at the end of July. The boys had a great time running and splashing around! Nolan was in a mood that day so sat with me for most of the party but finally at the end he warmed up and played!

Baby Brigade Sprinkle

In a little over five years the Baby Brigade has grown from 5 members to a whopping 49! In August we would be welcoming our 50th member and we were all so excited for Halie on the arrival of Caroline Grace. Krissy and I planned a little sprinkle for Halie and were thrilled with how many people were able to make it. Summer is always so hard with everyone’s travel schedules but we had a lovely evening catching up and stocking Halie’s nursery with diapers, wipes, and newborn essentials. It is hard to believe our little group has grown so large and yes, we do get comments all the time about how fertile we are hahaha Our circle is definitely blessed and I am so thankful for these mamas and all their precious little ones.

End of Summer Fun

Carter attended Autrey Mill Nature Camp for a week!

The first day they made carrier birds and sent notes to their family.

Statesboro Slumber Party

We road tripped it down to Statesboro to celebrate Candace’s 30th and Gemma’s 2nd birthdays! We had a wonderful weekend and soaked up as much time as we could with our buddies. Even though the weekend flew by, it was a little easier leaving knowing I would see Candace again in two weeks for a big Nashville birthday extravaganza!!

Little Alley Steak

Catherine and I had been talking about going on a double date for what felt like 3 years…and we finally made it happen on a random Wednesday night in downtown Roswell. We took uber to Little Alley and had an absolutely incredible steak dinner. We found out Catherine and I have the same baby tooth still hanging on 30+ years later, creamed spinach makes everyone feel healthier, and that you should never order dessert at that restaurant. It was a wonderful night and hopefully we don’t go another three years before doing it again!!

Sleeping Beauties

While we were in Kiawah the boys got in the bad habit of staying up to party until like 11pm. It was really hard to recover from that and I found them passed out at very random times during the day once we got home!

A {Maternity} Shoot

I haven’t done a maternity photo shoot in years so when my friend Halie asked if I would take their pictures before Miss Caroline Grace made her debut I was very excited! We met at a local park near the house and snapped away. Poor Kayden was not feeling well that night but she was such a trooper and I hope these images will be treasured for a long time! We can’t wait to meet you sweet Caroline! You are already so loved by all of us!
