We left June in its dust and headed to Kiawah to see Linc’s family for a long weekend. The northern Hams were in town to have baby Kolin baptized before their deployment to Germany and the Nashes joined us for a little r&r at the beach. Sherry’s cousin allowed us to stay in their gorgeous house right on the island and we spent our days at the beach club, spending time with the cousins, and drinking LOTS of margaritas!!!

The Best Daddy

MNO Birthdays
Every month I get the BB girls together to celebrate the mommy’s birthdays! June was in honor of Shari and Beth and we headed to Avalon all dressed up and ready to party. It had been storming all day so I had to document my hair and show Shari how hard I worked on it lol I knew as soon as I stepped outside it would be ruined. We originally had plans to go to the wine bar but after putting our name in and waiting an hour, we moseyed on over to the Mexican restaurant to grab drinks at the bar. They had a table for us and so we decided to skip the wine bar and just eat there. Come to find out, the manager at the wine bar had promised us a table in less than forty five minutes. Almost three hours later they had still not paged us that a table was ready…they won’t be getting my business ever again! So rude!!

We had a small turnout this month but it allowed us to fit at a round table. Best idea ever!! We almost always leave a MNO wishing we had been able to talk to people on the other end of the table but with a round table everyone was included! We missed our other mommies but it was a nice change!

Shelter Cove
We took the kiddos out to eat at a Mexican restaurant and then to watch the Shannon Tanner concert in Shelter Cove. He is very similar to Gregg Russell from the night before, but this time the boys were in a much better mood! A clown made them balloon animals and we danced around before the show. The boys went to sit on stage and when Shannon Tanner asked for volunteers Carter raised his hand. I was a little anxious because I didn’t think he really understood that Shannon was asking for singers, but lo and behold Carter was chosen and went right up and sang in front of the entire crowd!! It was absolutely precious and I am so proud of my sweet boy! Now he thinks he’s totally famous haha

Gregg Russell at Harbor Town
We took the boys to watch Gregg Russell perform in Harbor Town on Thursday night. He has been singing under the oaks for 39 YEARS and when we were younger all the cousins got up and performed with him. “Don’t pick your nose, pick us!” The boys were in a terrible mood so we ended up leaving early and calling it a night so don’t let these pictures fool you haha even with a special ice cream treat these little monsters wanted nothing to do with the concert. Oh well, there is always next time!
