Horsin' Around

On Friday afternoon a few of us headed to Lawton Stables on Hilton Head to take a trail ride! I had not ridden in 2 1/2 years (since breaking my tail bone) so I was excited to saddle up! I grew up going riding at this barn with my cousin Kate and could not believe the changes the entire farm had undergone in a few months. New pastures, new stables, a petting zoo and riding ring- everything was revamped and amazing! The three of us had a great time exploring the 600+ acre nature preserve and then spending some time with the animals in the petting zoo.

Harbor Town

It was so much fun taking Carter to Harbor Town! He got to go to the toy store for the very first time where his Hattie picked out a few great things! We walked around and looked at the lighthouse and the boats, went out to lunch, and finished up at the park. My family and I have been coming to HHI and Harbor Town since we were very little (my sister even learned to walk here) so it was very special to be able to bring Carter here! I can't wait until next time!

Bubs at the Beach

Our Hilton Head trip was the first time Carter got to touch sand and swim in the ocean. He wasn't a huge fan, until I put him down in the wet sand and he could make drippy castles!! I have a feeling next summer he will really enjoy himself.
